Burger King: Buy One Get One Free Chicken Sandwiches

February 17, 2012 by Tracy

Photograph Credit: Burger King

From now until Monday, March 5, 2012, participating Burger King locations are offering a buy one get one free special for these sandwiches:

            • The Original Chicken Sandwich
            • Chicken Club Sandwich
            • Italian Chicken Sandwich

To find a participating location near you, visit Burger King’s web site. I highly recommend calling to verify participation before arriving.

You would not want to get everyone out of the car, into the restaurant, to find that this location is not participating. Been there, done that. It is not fun having to get them back into the car. To prevent this from happening to you, please call before heading out. You will thank me later. 🙂

For more family activities, check Using Time Wisely’s event page on Facebook. Enjoy the time with your family this weekend while using time wisely.

Food on the Table: FREE Lifetime Subscription

February 16, 2012 by Tracy

As an avid menu planner, I love options that get the creative side of my brain formulating delicious meals to feed my family. Though having a set schedule for each night might work for some, I enjoy variety. Sometimes, I need an inspiration boost, and Food on the Table comes to my rescue.

Food on the Table is a menu planning service that matches your grocery store sales with recipes and provides a printable grocery list to get you on your way. This time-saving resource allows three free menu options before accessing a $5 per month fee.

Though reasonable, I prefer a free service, and Food on the Table is currently offering a free lifetime subscription to NEW users with unlimited menu planning options. Wow! Want a free lifetime subscription? Here’s how . . .

1. Click on this link: Food on the Table.

2. In the top right-hand sidebar, enter your e-mail address. (I used my junk e-mail account.)

3. Enter FEBFREE in the promotional code box, and select START MEAL PLANNING.

4. You can then do the following:

    • Select your stores,
    • Set your food preferences,
    • Choose your ingredients,
    • Select your recipes,
    • See your grocery list, and
    • Print your grocery list.

This offer is only valid through February 29, 2012. If you want, or ever think you may need, a menu planning service and have not signed up with Food on the Table, then register now!

NOTE: After you sign up, you can use the menu planning resources immediately. When you log out or close your browser’s tab/window, you will need to check your e-mail to re-access your Food on the Table account.

After registering, Food on the Table will send you a confirmation e-mail with your assigned password. Click on that link, enter the provided password, and select a new password. Now you can get access to your Food on the Table account when needed.

Though I am a lifetime subscriber of Food on the Table, I continue to maximize my savings by purchasing buy one get one free products and matching coupons to those sales. This menu planning subscription will supplement my current system as I continuing using time wisely to feed my family.

Question: If you signed up, was the process as easy for you as it was for me?

Goals for February 2012: Removing Clutter – Part 2 of 2

February 15, 2012 by Tracy

With the ups and downs of executing the goals set, I am learning that my bite-sized goals from January were not so bite-sized.

Instead of breaking down the goal into weekly or monthly bites, I just made a glorified to-do list. Starting where I was comfortable was a start. Now, I need to fine tune and adjust.

Last week, I shared my February physical and family goals. This week, I will continue with my financial and business goals.

Financial

Follow Crystal’s year-long plan to reach my goals. On Track. I completed writing out my bite-sized goals for January. In February, I need to finish removing clutter from my home. I began this project, and have completed my downstairs. I need to finish my upstairs during the month of February.

Purchase dressers for my daughters’ room. This goal is ongoing. We will be saving for these dressers, but we made no headway this month.

Purchase upgraded computers for hubby and me. This goal is also ongoing. We saved a little in January to add to this fund.

Business

Write posts one week in advance. Fell short on this goal. This past week, I made a little progress with 2 scheduled posts. I will keep this goal for February.

Follow Blogelina’s daily/monthly tasks. Failed. I am not sure where to find these tasks. Scheduled to take her on-line course, I chose to delay the start date until February. When I take the class, I will learn the process and plan to complete these tasks in February.

Read two chapters of blog book each month. Accomplished! Finished 2 chapters, but now I have lots of items to tweak, define, and adjust in my business plan. This goal will remain for February.

As you can tell I am learning as I go. Realizing that this process is new for me, I am willing to jump in and try it. As I learn, I will fine-tune my goals. In the meantime, I am enjoying the process, focusing on what is important, and remaining accountable to you. Thanks for following along on this journey. Happy goal completing!

Question: What are you learning about setting goals? Please add your answer to the comments.
