2013: Happy New Year!

January 1, 2013 by Tracy

Happy New Year

Celebrating the end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013, we pulled out the sparklers. My children “wrote” in the air and designed creations when not watching our neighbors set off fireworks.

As you complete 2012, I want to thank you for reading Using Time Wisely. Each of you are greatly appreciated. I have enjoyed the ups and downs this year and continue to improve as I learn the ropes of blogging.

In ringing in 2013, I am making a few changes to Using Time Wisely. For the first quarter of the year, I plan to keep the same posting schedule with a theme each month. When April approaches, I will evaluate the progress and adjust as needed. The first quarter themes chosen are as follows:

Using Time Wisely Monthly Themes

January: Planning for Success

February: Investing your Time

March: Springing into Action

Thanks for taking this journey with me. Wishing you and your family a fantastic 2013!

Happy New Year!

For to us a child is born,

to us a son is given;

and the government shall be upon his shoulder,

and his name shall be called

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6 ESV).

May you know the Christ of Christmas and find peace in Jesus, the Savior of the world.

Merry Christmas!

2012: Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Happy Turkey Day! Brawk, brawk! 😉 As you spend time with your family and friends counting your blessings, enjoy making memories.

I realize that the hustle and bustle is upon us, and deals are waiting in the wings to go live. But you have a choice, so continue using time wisely.

With four pies baked – apple, blueberry, pecan, and pumpkin – and the sweet potato casserole prepared, I will spend time with my family without the distraction of baking the meal.

Wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving on this Turkey Day! Brawk, brawk! 😉

Happy Thanksgiving!

2012: Happy Veterans Day!

With many of our armed forces fighting oversees for the freedoms we still have in America, this Veterans Day is hard.

One of my husband’s co-workers is currently deployed, and his family is not complete without him.

Most of our veterans have served abroad during their military career which is a sacrifice for them and their families.

To all those who are actively serving and to those retired armed forces soldiers and their families,

Thank You for your Service!

Happy Veterans Day!

2012: Happy Election Day!

Happy Election Day

Embarking on a day filled with numbers and speculation, I am embracing this Election Day! In the United States, we still have the freedom to vote for our leaders.

Preparing to spend all morning at the polling location, Paul, my youngest daughter, and I headed out with our jackets, snacks, stroller, and iPad.

With only about a 50-minute wait, my daughter and I strolled the empty hallways while she pushed the stroller, we looked at the trophy cases, and chatted with the lady ahead of us.

The lines moved quickly, and I was thankful that our almost 3-hour wait four years ago shrunk down to less than an hour’s wait today. Oh what a privilege to vote in a location with a fast Internet connection! 🙂

As you head to the polls to cast your vote, arm yourself with patience as you continue using time wisely exercising your American privilege.

Happy Election Day!

Question: How long did you wait to cast your vote?
