Quick Tip Week continues! Hope this week of shorter posts highlighting one tip in each category helps you in using time wisely.

For series already in progress, I will continue with the next segment following our Quick Tip Week. Embrace this week, add your tips in the comments, and continue using time wisely!

Quick Tip #5: Wendy’s Coupon Booklet

For a limited time, you can purchase a Wendy’s coupon booklet for $1. The booklet contains 10 coupons. Each coupon is good for one Jr. Frosty. Yum! My favorite is the chocolate, but my daughter prefers the vanilla option.

In addition to offering a great trick-or-treat prize, 90 cents of every dollar spent purchasing these booklets benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

As you prepare for your Halloween celebration, enjoy a chilly treat benefiting a cool charity. Enjoy!

Question: What do you plan to gift on Halloween night to those who trick-or-treat?

Quick Tip #4: Reboot Your Computer

In using time wisely while working on your computer, reboot your computer to increase your productivity.

When I work for long periods on my computer, I find the cache gets full which slows the processing speed. To increase my productivity, I start by rebooting my computer.

As you work on your computer and find the processing slowed, try rebooting your system. This tip continues to increase my productivity which uses my time wisely. Continue working smarter rather than harder!

Question: How often do you reboot your computer?

2012 Third Quick Tip Week: Removing Ink Stains

Quick Tip Week continues! Hope this week of shorter posts highlighting one tip in each category helps you in using time wisely. For series already in progress, I will continue with the next segment following our Quick Tip Week. Embrace this week, add your tips in the comments, and continue using time wisely!

Quick Tip #2: Removing Ink Stains

As my 2-year-old waved around an uncapped ink pen, my shirt met the blue ink resulting in a stain. Thinking I would just soak the shirt, Paul suggested drawing out the ink using hairspray.

With the hairspray bottle in hand, I sprayed the soiled section, waited a few moments to activate, and then I pressed down paper towels on the spot. With each treatment, the stain became less visible until it disappeared after the fourth round.

Though I’m sure the OxiClean would have worked, I liked the immediate result of using hairspray when removing ink stains. Upon laundering, I found my shirt without ink or any residue from the hairspray. 🙂

In using time wisely, I spent less than 5 minutes removing ink stains from my shirt. If you find a stray ink mark on your clothing from a 2-year-old, test out the hairspray trick to save you money, energy, and time. Happy stain lifting!

Question: How do you remove ink stains?

2012 Third Quick Tip Week: File Documents Consistently

Quick Tip Week is here!  Enjoy a week of shorter posts highlighting one tip in each category this week. For series already in progress, I will continue with the next segment following our Quick Tip Week. Embrace this week, add your tips in the comments, and continue using time wisely!

Quick Tip #1: File Documents Consistently

When organizing any filing system, keeping the framework consistent saves you time and energy when retrieving your desired document.

When I place documents in my files, I prefer to place the most recent information at the beginning of the file. This way if I am looking for information about the initial opening an account, I would look in the back of the file for the oldest information.

Whether you use a notebook, accordion file, hanging files, or on-line, choose a framework that works for you and file documents consistently.

By knowing approximately where a document is located, you can find it quickly while using time wisely. Happy organizing consistently!

Question: How do you prefer to organize your document files?
