If you are following the schedule for requesting your credit reports that I recommend, then it is time to make another request by the web site, telephone, or mail.
My preference is by phone to get a written response.
With the availability of a free report each year, I refuse to pay a service to issue my free report. By using my time wisely to track our credit, I request one report every 4 months. This month, I will be requesting Paul’s Equifax report and my Experian report.
NOTE: Before ordering your credit report, be sure you have waited at least one year since your last request for that report. If you make a second request within one year, then you will be charged for the second request.
When we receive these reports, I will review them for errors. If a discrepancy is noted, then I will dispute it. If all is correct, then I will replace last year’s record with this new report in the first file slot of my Box 1 documents.
I will also run a free Experian credit score. This score will then be placed with the current credit report. I will then put the file away until October.
How is your file coming along? Are you still disputing errors with the credit bureaus? If so, be thorough and get it right. You will be glad you spent your time wisely.

Hi, Tracy! Remember me from Hillsdale? I’ve been living with my husband Ted in California since 1995. I love it here!
What a great and powerful resource your website is! I’m sure that Using Time Wisely is a valuable help for many people. I know that it’s a real time-consuming ministry to keep webpages going with new articles and info.
My college training was in journalism and editing, and I feel I *must* pass on a helpful hint for your page layout–please don’t take this as criticism, but accept it as a friendly comment from someone who wants you to be happy and successful. It would give me great joy if my words could be of benefit to you, so here goes: when I pulled up your page on my browser (I’m running Firefox), the spacing is not correct–there are no spaces after colons or commas, and there should be one space after each comma, and two spaces after each colon. I don’t know if you’re aware of this problem (and I don’t know enough about Javascript to know if it’s a programmatic error). I just don’t want the formatting to be a hindrance to people benefitting from your wonderful lessons.
Anyway, nice to get back in touch with you. Take care, Marie

Hey, Marie! Thanks for your comment. Yes, the spacing drives me nuts. The theme I am using switched from allowing PHP formatting to a standardized format. I had originally designed the site using some specific codes. Now, the PHP has been withdrawn, and I cannot figure out how to fix the spacing without the PHP option. I am open to all suggestions since I have spent too many hours researching and trying to fix it. You are so right! There should be spaces, and there are spaces when I write it. But the standardized version has created havoc with my site. Being a new blogger, I am apprehensive about switching themes since I will have to re-create and adjust items. With that said, I might just need to change.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad the information is helpful, but sorry the spacing is a distraction. I will continue to work with it.

This is so funny! It must be something in your code, because in my last comment (and probably in this one, too), the spacing came out funny as well! Trust me, I did really type a space after each comma and colon. LOL, I’ve answered my own question! 🙂

Marie, I took your constructive criticism (which I really appreciate), and I went back to the drawing board. Guess what? A patch had been created (since my search for a solution) which I was able to download and apply. Now the spacing is correct. In case you want to know . . . the theme was updated, then my platform WordPress was upgraded. The theme owners then had to write patches or fixes for the conflicting codes. I just searched prior to the patch or fix getting posted. Because of your comment, I went back to look and now I am thrilled. Being a perfectionist, this spacing was driving me crazy. I’m so glad you commented. Thanks a million, and keep coming back. 🙂
