Lowe’s Build and Grow: The Croods – Piranhakeet Chomper

This next project at Lowe’s Build and Grow clinic cracks me up. Based on the new movie, The Croods, this project is a chomper. With the jaws opening and closing from a trigger at the end of the stick, one can pick up or grab things.

The reason this project cracks me up stems from my earliest recollection of a chomper. Growing up in Florida, our family visited the amusement parks at least once a year. One vivid memory I have as a little girl (age 7 or 8) is leaving Sea World with my family.

My younger brother and I had dolphin chompers, and we were pinching people’s bottoms on the way out of the park. We were slick about it and kept ourselves entertained on the long walk out to our car. 😉

Not that I advocate pinching bottoms; but if it happens, don’t be surprised. If your children would enjoy creating their own chomper, then head to your local Lowe’s Build and Grow clinic tomorrow.

What: Piranhakeet Chomper
When: Saturday, March 23, 2013
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Where: Your local Lowe’s home improvement store

Since the clinics only offer a limited supply of projects, register your attendance at your local Lowe’s and arrive no later than 10:15 a.m. to the event. For other tips and details on the Lowe’s Build and Grow clinics, refer to my detailed post here.
