Goal
To motivate students to practice reading all summer long.

Register and log minutes read.

Each day, students log the reading minutes online via their registered account or mobile app.

The Scholastic Summer Challenge allows school to compete against each other. If your school does not participate, you can still register and read for prizes. With the reading timer mobile app, students can log minutes on the go.
In using time wisely this summer and encouraging reading, the Scholastic Summer Challenge includes a reading pledge, reading log, and certificate of achievement. These resources assist parents as we educate our children. Happy summer reading!
Jean says
wow, thanks for putting all this great information in one place! I really like how you are sharing the age information as I have an older son. I had no idea about Chuck E. Cheese. We are going to have to add that one to what we are already doing.
Tracy says
You’re welcome, Jean. I’m thankful for the feedback because it helps me when I decide whether or not to post an activity. If I know others are looking for activities geared for older children, then I am more apt to post.
Sounds like you are off to a great start with summer reading. Keep it up, and thank you for the comment.
