If your children are going stir crazy during this Christmas break, then you are not alone. A winter storm is headed our way, and the chill has already arrived.
My children are running through the house and getting a little too rough with each other. Looking for an outlet this weekend, I’m considering one of the following activities:
Home Depot: FREE Desk Calendar
On the first Saturday of every month, Home Depot hosts a FREE Kids’ Workshop. At the workshop, each child is given the monthly kit to build and keep, a FREE Kids’ Workshop apron, a FREE commemorative pin for that project which can be pinned onto his apron, and a FREE certificate of achievement.
The January project is scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Home Depot locations. The project is a desk calendar to keep our children organized this coming year.
Lakeshore Learning Store: FREE Party Mask
Each Saturday, Lakeshore Learning Stores offer a FREE craft project from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at participating locations. It’s a celebration party mask is the FREE project for Saturday, January 4, 2014. The crafts change each week for children ages 3 and up with no reservations necessary.
Michaels: $2 Knickknack Keychain
On January 4, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., participating Michaels Craft Stores will reserve 30 minutes for your child to make a knickknack keychain at a cost of $2 per project. Kids Club reservations are required and recommended for children ages 3 and up.
These three activities for Saturday, January 4, 2014, are offered for children but make a great family event at an unbeatable price. If you are looking for other family weekend events, check Using Time Wisely’s event page. While you are there, you should “like” the Using Time Wisely page to stay updated.
Enjoy your weekend using time wisely with those you love. Happy planning!
Question: Does your family attend these types of activities?
