Woo hoo! Super Bowl weekend is on the horizon. Have I mentioned how much I love football season?

Though my Florida Gators had a rough, OK, bad season, I’m glad to see Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos going to the Big Game.

My husband, Paul, is a Denver Broncos fan, so there will be lots of orange and blue in our house Sunday night.

I do like the Seattle Seahawks, and I’m glad they made it as well. But I like the way Peyton Manning plays and will still route for the Broncos.

If you have avid football fans and need some chow during the 4+-hour game, then try a few of these Super Bowl food ideas:

  • Big Game Bean Dip by Chinet
  • Easy Football Cheese Ball by Chinet
  • Healthy Super Bowl Recipes by BeCentsable
  • Mini Mexican Chili Bites by the Krazy Coupon Lady
  • 22 Big Game Snack recipes by $5 Dinners
  • Super Bowl Buffalo Chicken Dip by the Krazy Coupon Lady
  • 100+ Super Bowl Party Recipes by Delish

With all these great options, I’m sure you can find something to keep the football fans fed during the afternoon, evening, and into the night.

Many of the slider and BBQ recipes could be doubled and cooked in the crock pot. Love using our crock pot during parties as the food can stay out and warm for hours without spoiling.

Wishing you all a wonderful Super Bowl celebration!

Question: Who do you think is going to win the Big Game: Seattle Seahawks or Denver Broncos?

Papa John’s: Super Bowl XLVII Coin Toss Experience

February 2, 2013 by Tracy

Tomorrow’s Super Bowl is a bittersweet time. One downside is having to wait eight more months for next season, but an upside is the wins and losses are in the past with spring on the way. Whether you are a football fan or not, you can win this Super Bowl season.

Papa John’s Pizza has returned the Coin Toss Experience. With a twist this year, each person votes heads or tails. All those who choose correctly by 11:59 p.m. tonight, February 2, 2013, will receive a promotion code for a free large 1-topping pizza.

Voting is limited to one per person, age 13 and older. Winners need to redeem the code at papajohns.com. All winners will received their promotion code via email on Monday, February 4, 2013.

As Paul and I are both eligible, we chose opposites. So, our family will receive a free large one-topping pizza. If you are into taking chances, then stack the deck and have the adults choose the same option. If you win, then your household will receive multiple pizzas. 🙂

In winding down the football season, I plan to watch the Ravens and 49ers in the final showdown this season. Some commercials are promising codes for free Pepsi Next, 20 oz. Coke, and Taco Bell’s free Churro coupon.

Taking a few moments to choose between heads or tails might end up giving your family an inexpensive dinner. In stretching your dollars, you still have today to get in your vote. Don’t delay. In using time wisely, make a choice and then watch the game tomorrow night for the results. Enjoy the game!

Question: For which team are you pulling? (Teams are Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.)

Papa John’s: Super Bowl Coin Toss Experience

With college football season at a close and one football game left, Papa John’s is gearing up for the opening coin toss on Sunday, February 5.

With the votes tallied, America voted that the opening coin toss will be heads. If America is right, then Papa John’s will give all Papa Rewards members a free one-topping pizza and a free Pepsi Max 2-liter!

You have until Sunday, February 5 at 5:59 p.m. to complete the free Papa Rewards registration.

After registering, watch the Super Bowl coin toss at about 6:00 p.m. on your local NBC station. If the coin lands on the designated “heads” side, then visit Papa Rewards on Monday, February 6 for details to redeem your free gift.

In stretching your dollars, taking 2 minutes of your time to complete a free registration might result in an inexpensive dinner for your family.

While using time wisely, I spent a few moments to register. Since our family enjoys pizza and plans to watch the game, this Papa Rewards member is rooting for heads in this Super Bowl coin toss experience. Enjoy the game!

Question: For which team are you pulling? (Teams are New York Giants and New England Patriots.) Please add your answer to the comments.
